Simon Ekrelius:
Simon Ekrelius Spring/Summer 2011 collection was named 'The Reflection'. The inspiration was taken from The Gherkin tower and references are made to Grace Jones with focussing on shadows, reflections to give the collection a structural feel.

The image of the hat above was my favourite pieces of the collection along with the tower hat. The hats created such a beautiful silhouette down the catwalk and really exaggerated the use of bold lines and structural elements of the collection. The designer himself wore a 'Suck my Pope' slogan t-shirt on the day of the Pope visiting London which was quite amusing! All-in-all the use of greys, blacks and pastel blues work really well with the garment pieces and shapes in the collection.
Also the look book featured at the On|Off catwalk show was very cute, the pink background gave the collection a contrast to almost give the garments, make-up and hat designs a pin-up look.
