DAY 2 On|Off

Saturday 18th September

LOUISE GRAY: One of my favourite collections! It was such a fun concept and the colours worked so well together.

The collection had such a young and fresh edge to it. I loved how detailed Louise had been when designing the collection, from the painted-on pop socks seen on the On|Off catwalk show to plastic outer layers of the garments filled with polystyrene balls. The use of patchwork brought different fabrics with contrasting patterns and colours together. These were then draped and tied to add to the silhouette.

After the show myself and Emily Seares; Fashion Journalist and blogger interviewed; Caren Downie ASOS Buying Director about her thoughts on Louise Gray and Louise's Spring/Summer 2011 collection. Caren had great things to say about Louise and told On|Off about ASOS collaboration with Louise Gray that is in place already to sell her diffusion line and that ASOS are hoping to sell her mainline collection for the first time this season. Caren Downie was infact wearing a Louise Gray dress that was a present from the designer.
